Originating from a choir project performing G. F. Händel's Messiah, the choir was founded in 1986 as "Ramstein Community Choir", receiving its current name 2 years later. We will celebrate our 40th anniversary with a selection of pieces we performed in the past years, giving our audience a "Best of RPIC" concert. We are delighted to welcome two former choir directors, Stephanie Benton and Dr. Patrick Casey, as guest directors.

The Rheinland‑Pfalz International Choir brings a vibrant, emotionally rich program to this year’s Long Night of Culture, weaving together musical traditions from around the world and across the centuries. With singers representing many nations and backgrounds, the ensemble celebrates the power of choral music to build community, spark joy, and create moments of profound reflection.
Audiences will experience a dynamic journey that moves from the rhythmic energy of global folk traditions to the shimmering beauty of contemporary choral writing. The program balances the intimacy of Renaissance madrigals with the soulful depth of American spirituals, the warmth of beloved folk melodies, and the expressive sweep of modern composers known for their lush harmonies and cinematic soundscapes.
Throughout the performance, the choir explores themes of unity, resilience, remembrance, and hope—offering music that uplifts, comforts, and inspires. Whether through driving rhythms, playful storytelling, or moments of serene stillness, the Rheinland‑Pfalz International Choir showcases its hallmark blend of musical precision, emotional connection, and international spirit.
We are honored to share this musical tapestry with the Kaiserslautern community and to contribute to the cultural richness of the Long Night of Culture.
